That just happened over the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Myrtle Beach. A U.S. fighter jet finally popped Xi's surveillance balloon.

Looks like it was an F-22 stealth fighter:

U.S. authorities are now reportedly attempting to collect the remains of the balloon for intel purposes.
