This is exactly why the Guardian Angels are now patrolling the NYC subway.
On Tuesday Afternoon, a man was waiting for a train at the 18th Street Station in Manhattan when this happened.
[Warning: Disturbing]
Right onto the tracks, and immediately run over by a train.
In what cops are calling a random attack, an unidentified 45-year-old man was at the 18th Street station shortly after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when a hooded thug pushed him onto the tracks.
…
The suspect, 23, fled the station but was busted above ground near Columbus Circle hours later, cops said.
Here's our guy:
Hard to believe it, but this guy has had several run-ins with NYPD, including the beating of a cop in 2019 and a 2020 case where he was let off without bail despite prosecutors requesting that he be held.
There are many such cases.
Hawkins has been charged with attempted murder.
Somehow, the 45-year-old victim survived the incident with only a head injury. He was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition.
‘By God's own hand, he fell perfectly in the trench,' one law enforcement source said of the victim.
Dude's seriously lucky to be alive!
And in New York, this is simply another day on the subway.
