Representative John Rose (R-TN) gave an address on the House floor about … well, no one really knows what it was about because his son upstaged him.

Six-year old Guy Rose was seated behind his father, ridiculously bored, and all too aware of the C-SPAN cameras recording the speech.

Tell me this isn't how all of us feel when listening to our government tell us how they know how to run our lives better than we do.

Okay, that speech against the Democrats‘ political lawfare is pretty good.

I hear from countless Tennesseans who are outraged not only by the lack of merit in this case but also the timing. We are six months away from an election. The sense we have devolved into a two-tiered justice system, and they want the madness to end.

This is exactly what we're all feeling about the Trump trials.

That said, the little Guy's uncomfortable boredom in the background does add a layer of entertainment that‘s missing in most C-SPAN videos.

Maybe there should be kids making faces behind every speech delivered in Congress?

I can't see how it would make our nation's politics any more of a joke than they already are ...
