A construction crane in New York City caught on fire then collapsed and fell into the street causing severe damage and injuries:

The crane snapped in half and hit the building across the street on the way down, raining debris onto the streets below. Fortunately, the street had already been largely cleared for the fire.
A four-alarm fire has been declared and FDNY is on the scene:
According to the New York Post, at least five people have been injured in the accident. 4 civilians and 1 firefighter. 3 of the injured persons have been taken to the hospital according to the Post sources.
