The state legislature passed it, and now the governor has signed it into law.
Oklahoma has now officially banned nearly all abortions in their state.
Oklahoma is not messing around any more.
The culture of death has been waging a war on the unborn for decades and only in the most recent years have states started actually fighting back.
Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt just signed into law one of the most pro-life laws ever passed in the United States. It would ban nearly all abortions in Oklahoma.
From local news:
Senate Bill 612 is one of several anti-abortion bills that have made their way through the Oklahoma Legislature this session.
The measure bans nearly all abortions at conception, and there are no exceptions for rape or incest. The only exception is to save the life of the woman in case of an emergency.
The bill specifically targets health care workers who perform the procedure. They can be punished by up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
Fining abortionists out of business and sending them to prison sounds like a VERY good solution to the abortion debate.
Here Governor Stitt explains his decision to sign one of the strongest pro-life bills in history:
As Governor, I reperesent all 4 million Oklahomans. And they overwhelmingly support protecting life in the state of Oklahoma.
We want Oklahoma to be the most pro-life state in the country, we want to outlaw abortion in the state of Oklahoma.
