Democrats had anticipated gaining between 5 and 15 seats in the election just passed.
They lost at least 6.
Were there recriminations? Why, yes, yes there were.
How about scapegoating? As a matter of fact, there was that, too.
Crying? Of course.
Was it leaking like a sieve? No. It was leaking like someone took away the sieve so the information could flow more freely.
Were there more recriminations? You bet.
How about some audio of Representative Abigail Spanberger, a moderate in Virginia who nearly lost her reelection bid say that the election on the congressional level "was a failure" for House Democrats? Glad you asked! It's right here.
Did Nancy Pelosi say something totally unhinged from reality? If by that you mean, claim she had a "mandate" after the Democrats lost seats in the house, failed to take control of the Senate, and have at best, a razor-thin margin at the presidential level? Of course she did.
You know what really says, "mandate?" When you get a headline like this after your post-election victory call.
Don't forget to get extra butter and salt, too.
