Alibaba Group Prez Casually Talks About "Individual Carbon Footprint Trackers" To Score You Based On Climate Impact

J. Michael Evans is the President of the Alibaba Group and is one of the panelists at the World Economic Forum gathering in Davos this week.

In a discussion, Evans brought up the new and exciting possibility of tracking individuals carbon footprint, like we do with companies, so we can decide who is good for the climate and who is bad for the climate.

I'm sure this won't be abused in any way.

We're developing, through technology, an ability for consumers to measure their own carbon footprint.

"What does that mean?"

That's where they're traveling, how they're traveling, what are they eating, what are they consuming on the platform.

So, individual carbon footprint tracker. Stay tuned, we don't have it operational yet, but this is something that we're working on.

So, they'll be able to know where you go, how you got there, and everything you consumed and ingested and give you a carbon score based on that.

And, of course, it'll start out as sort of a fun voluntary thing. But when Environmental-Social-Governance (ESG) policy becomes individualized, I'm sure it'll just synthesize with your social credit score.

Of course, this won't apply to the elites at Davos.

And this guy wants to tell you how to live?

Kind of like they tried with a certain vaccine.

But we shouldn't worry.

Of course, as we move to a society based on green energy and worship of the planet, I am sure that it won't impact how you live your daily life.

Unless you want to have kids.

A new human being would create an unnecessary strain on the planet. Perhaps we should limit the number of kids one has.

What an exciting dystopia the elites want for us all!
