BEHOLD:
"That's not real, Adam," you say.
"You photoshopped that," you say.
"You made that up to dunk on PETA," you say.
I wish. But no. BEHOLD:
PETA really did tweet that image. And for the love of everything good and sane in this world, look at the psycho-axe-murderer caption they included.
Words can create a more inclusive world, or perpetuate oppression.
Calling someone an animal as an insult reinforces the myth that humans are superior to other animals & justified in violating them.
Stand up for justice by rejecting supremacist language.
"Oppression."
"The myth that humans are superior to other animals."
"Justice."
"Supremacist language."
Imagine, there are people walking around among us who really believe that human beings are not superior to rats or fish or worms. That it's "supremacist speciesism" to call someone a chicken.
The bat-excrement crazy jackals who came up with this literal insanity should be put in a padded room.
The absolute chicken-rat-snake-pig-sloths!
The lying, dog-faced pony soldiers!
On the other hand, perhaps we could use them over at The Babylon Bee...
