In a move that has Democrats and more than a few RINO Republicans up in arms, Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville is holding up the Department of Defense's efforts to hand out 160 promotions because of the DoD's insane abortion stance.
The senator (and former Auburn University football coach) is standing up to protect life and placing the DoD in a position to defend its pro-abortion policy adopted after the overturn of Roe V Wade.
Back in December, before the policy that granted three week paid leave to murder your children was put in place, Tuberville warned Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin that there would be consequences for pushing the radical abortion agenda. Now Tubbs is backing up his promise.
"Secretary Austin's new abortion policy is immoral and arguably illegal. If he wants to change the law, he needs to go through Congress," Tuberville said from the Senate floor moments after revealing that Austin ignored his attempts to get an explanation for the policy...
Much to Democrats' chagrin, Tuberville, specifically, turned his threat to block nominees into a promise. Since the standoff began, Tuberville successfully stalled two civilian nominations and threatened the promotions of another 158 generals and flag officers.
The DoD wants to give promotions to 158 individuals who, I am sure, are totally in step with the woke left, but Tuberville is throwing up a roadblock and preventing the promotions.
The Senate has been nothing but a green light for the Biden appointments, but with DoD promotions requiring unanimous consent, Tuberville has stood alone to force Biden and Austin to defend their illegal actions.
The previous DoD policy allowed for abortion only for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. The new radical policy, which Tuberville points out is against the law, allows abortion at any time on demand funded by taxpayers.
It's illegal and immoral and someone had to stand against it.
I'm doing this to tell the Department of Defense that taxpayers don't need to be using their money to fund abortion and abortion travel.
Sometimes all it takes is one man to take a stand. Other Republicans need to join Tuberville and force the Biden admin to reverse this policy, which could fund the killings of thousands of babies each year with taxpayer dollars.
