If the braintrust at Cracker Barrel thought all of its public relations nightmare was in the past after its mea culpa and pledge to do away with its "modernization," they can think again, as a billboard appeared in Nashville calling for the firing of the company's CEO.
As reported by WSMV 4 in Nashville:
People driving through West Nashville are seeing a billboard along Interstate 40 that says 'Fire the CEO.'
The billboard itself appears to resemble a recent rebranded Cracker Barrel logo, which was reverted by the company following backlash.
They put this billboard up just outside of Nashville, on the way to Lebanon, TN, where Cracker Barrel is headquartered.
Things got even spicier when Cracker Barrel responded when the media reached out for comment on the billboard:
'This billboard was put up by a man named Sardar Biglari, who runs Steak ‘n Shake, Western Sizzlin', and Maxim Magazine, and is exactly the sort of stunt we would expect from him,' Cracker Barrel said.
'For fourteen years, our shareholders have rejected his self-serving campaigns against Cracker Barrel. Launching personal attacks from billboards to attempt to disrupt a business like Cracker Barrel is not what serious or well-intentioned investors do and not what Tennesseans expect or deserve.'
Shots fired!
On Thursday, Steak ‘n Shake came out and publicly admitted they were behind the billboard:

Steak ‘n Shake, which has built quite the track record of taking strong stances on current issues, from moving away from using seed oils in favor of beef tallow in its food and accepting Bitcoin to now, apparently, setting up aggressive billboards calling for the firing of another restaurant chain's CEO.
Stay tuned for the next chapter of the saga between Cracker Barrel and Steak ‘n Shake…
…or should it be Steak ‘n Based? Based ‘n Shake?
