Trump hasn't even been in office one week and he's already gotten Biden's case against Dr. Eithan Haim dropped 👇
You may recall that Dr. Haim blew the whistle in 2023, anonymously at the time, on Texas Children's Hospital, which was seemingly violating Texas law by performing sex-change operations on kids.
Here's a brief summary of the timeline:
In 2021, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Commissioner Jaime Masters declared that sex-change surgeries for minors was a form of child abuse under Texas law.
In 2022, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton affirmed that policy with a statement saying that the state may criminally charge parents that allow sex-change operations to be performed on their minor children.
In 2023, Dr. Haim released evidence that Texas Children's Hospital, which said it would comply with state policy, was still secretly performing such operations.
The hospital quickly moved to cover up evidence.
AG Paxton then announced an investigation into the matter.
Biden's Department of Justice responded by launching its own investigation into the whistleblowers, harassing Dr. Haim and a nurse who helped him (FBI agents were sent to her door).
In response, Haim sat for an interview with conservative activist Chris Rufo to explain his side of the story.
In June 2024, Haim was indicted on 4 counts by the Biden administration, alleging that he violated HIPAA when he passed along internal records from the hospital.
In November, Not the Bee filed a motion in the case to know why the courts had gagged Dr. Haim and sealed documents that were of great public interest to the national discourse on sex-change procedures for children.
The case being dismissed this week is no accident - a signal from the Trump administration that the harassment of whistleblowers, whether on the Right or the Left, will not be tolerated.
