Charles Barkley says he's going to retire from TV by 2023 because "you can’t even have fun nowadays" without jerks "trying to get you canceled"

Charles Barkley loves to have fun on the air. I showed you this video last week of Barkley laughing along as a radio host using a Charles Barkely impression interviewed him live on TNT. It was a classic.

And I bet somehow, some way, the interview comes back to bite Danny Rouhier since he's a white guy impersonating a black guy.

But I digress…

Barkley appeared on Rouhier's radio show yesterday and just absolutely trashed cancel culture while assuring once and for all that he WILL, in fact, retire by age 60 [skip to the 5-minute mark to hear this using that link above]:

"I mean, it's gotten so out of hand right now, I couldn't imagine having to watch myself. You can't even have fun nowadays without these jack[donkeys] trying to get you canceled and things like that... Listen, I'm trying to hang on for another couple of years until I'm 60 and then they can kiss my [donkey]."

Barkley went on:

"All we ever talk about behind the scenes now is, ‘Yo man, be careful going in this direction.' We can't even have fun anymore. We've had fun all these years, and now all of a sudden in the last year and a half, everybody's trying to get everybody fired and it really sucks."

So yeah, Charles Barkley is over it. And I bet he'd have a lot more fun running a podcast with Shaq where they could say whatever they want without the threat of snowflakes melting all over their notes.

Big thanks to the guys at Outkick who actually reported on the cancel culture aspect of Charles' retirement talk.
