Well, well, well, what have we here?
Looks like our houseplant-in-chief approves of border walls after all.
The under-construction security fence around the commander-in-chief's beach house, thought to be scheduled for completion late last year, actually won't be done until the spring of 2023 โ while the cost to taxpayers has ballooned by nearly $35,000.
The Department of Homeland Security initially doled out $456,548 in September 2021 to Delaware-based construction company Turnstone Holdings LLC for the purchase and installation of security fencing at Biden's Rehoboth Beach home, according to USAspending.gov, an online database tracking federal outlays.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this taxpayer-funded border fence costs a whopping $490,000. And I'm still not sure if it's there to keep intruders out or to make sure Grandpa Joe doesn't wander off during one of his getaways.
Either way, it's a wonderful investment.
But it brings up a great question: Why build a wall to protect our vegetable president but not build one at the border to protect the 330 million people he serves?
Kinda backwards, idnit?
I guess The Big Guy and his family are more important than the rest of us.
No word yet on whether or not AOC was seen weeping at the border of President Biden's beach house border wall.
Give it time...
