In the Year of Our Lord 2025, The Gospel Coalition is featuring "diversity" talks with speakers who promote segregated church groups 🤡

It amazes me that this meme is so often true:

Enter The Gospel Coalition, which is losing even the appearance of substance:

Even without unpacking this, you can feel in your bones that this conference topic belongs back in 2015.

I guess The Gospel Coalition doesn't know that woke is dead.

Enter Christian reporter Megan Basham:

We reported on a PCA (not PCUSA) church that recently platformed Irwyn as well:

Ten years ago, conferences like this were the norm. Most Christians didn't object to diversity and unity talks because they know their Bibles.

'There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female; since you are all one in Christ Jesus.' - Galatians 3:28

'For he is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In his flesh, he made of no effect the law consisting of commands and expressed in regulations, so that he might create in himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.' - Ephesians 2:14-15

'After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.' - Revelation 7:9a

The Gospel first broke down the wall of hostility between Hellenistic Jews and Hebraic Jews. Then it broke down the barriers between Jews and Samaritans. Then it broke down the barriers between Jews and the rest of the Gentiles, starting with an Ethiopian official and a Roman centurion. It is still breaking down walls between peoples today as it ripples outward to the "ends of the earth."

When the Apostle Paul spoke to the men of Athens, he used a message that was contextualized for their culture. He knew how to be "all things to all men," which meant understanding the diversity in the human race.

But we've learned the hard way that the acknowledgement of diversity in the 21st century is often a Trojan Horse that has been used by leftists who want to inject race-based Marxist ideology into the church. Instead of uniting Christians, the injection of that virus divides and segregates the church, which is a feature of Marxism, not a bug.

Let me give you a prompt to demonstrate:

When Christians with Satan's woke mind virus preach about "inclusion" and "diversity," they always mean shoehorning in people who look different into majority-white churches.

Never mind that "white" churches are an immensely diverse collection of churches formed over 2,000 years with diverse leaders who spoke diverse languages and had diverse approaches to speaking the truth of the Gospel into the political strife of their times. The Moravian Church in the Czech Republic is very culturally different compared to the Anglican Church or the Roman Catholic Church or the Evangelical Lutherans in the Church of Sweden or the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Instead, the race grifters reduce the broad and diverse tapestry of "white" churches to a skin color, then use that to shame these churches into accepting their ideological premises about racial classes and "privilege."

Marxist logic only flows in one direction, moving from those it sees as oppressors to those it sees as the oppressed. You can see this logic demonstrated here by a gentlemen who has been infected by the virus:

If you want to test if their logic is flawed or sound, first go to the Bible to get the lay of the land on the issue, then try to flip their script.

If such leaders are advocating for "white" churches to be more diverse and for churches to have "black only" groups, Christian equality would dictate that they should also advocate for "black" churches to be more diverse and host "white only" groups.

If, like in this case, the logic doesn't pan out and it sounds discriminatory, then you are not dealing with equality, but equity.

Equality is a Christian virtue; equity is a Marxist virtue.

And the two are diametrically opposed.

In The Gospel Coalition's case, you will notice that it avoids inviting speakers who preach openly against the idea of equity. This speaks volumes.

The Gospel Coalition is also having former SBC president JD Greear as a speaker. Greear, like many evangelical pastors, has sadly fallen for some of the woke mind virus. Not only has he made it a goal to push for more equitable practices to hire females over males and non-whites over whites, but he has touted the popular idea that churches should equitably represent the demographics around them instead of simply preaching the Word and accepting all who want to come to Christ.

Look at how Christian speaker Neil Shenvi, who attends Greear's church, tries to defend equity, and look at how Megan Basham (she really is doing the Lord's work with her research 😂) responds with the church's stated goals:

Trying to make your church look percentage-for-percentage like the surrounding community is not equality. It's equity. It's Marxism. You are dividing up people based on subjective categories, placing them into a hierarchy of class oppressions, and then focusing your outreach efforts based on those categories.

It looks exactly like the policies of every Fortune 500 boardroom. And like those woke companies, instead of building inclusion, it excludes disfavored groups so resources can be spent on favored groups.

Christians should repent of such nonsense.

Sadly, The Gospel Coalition has long since given into the spirit of the age and rejected the power and truth of Christ. Satan has made them irrelevant and impotent in a time that Christian warriors are desperately needed.

May the Lord bring them back to the path of sanity.
