Kamala's handling of the border just got way, way more horrific than anyone thought possible

While Democrats are celebrating the anointed crowning of High Queen Kamala in Chicago this week, we learn that the princess's management of the border crisis — already a comical disaster — is considerably more awful than any of us thought:

This afternoon, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Inspector General released a stunning report that found under border czar Kamala Harris nearly 300,000 illegal immigrant children are unaccounted for. The stunning report goes on to say that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has "no assurance" that these unaccounted illegal immigrant children "are safe from trafficking, exploitation, or forced labor."

Read that number several times:

Three hundred thousand kids, folks.

That's roughly the population of Pittsburgh.

A city-sized number of kids, just vanished.

Border authorities under Kamala appear woefully unable to address the migrant crisis:

As of May 2024, ICE had not served [a notice-to-appear, NTA] or scheduled a court date for more than 291,000 [unaccompanied children, UC]. In each ICE location we visited, ERO could not serve NTAs on all UCs. At one location we visited, 34,823 (84 percent) of 41,638 UCs in the local area had not been served NTAs to initiate immigration proceeding

According to the inspector general's report — which you can read in its entirety here — the failure to issue NTAs can have devastating consequences:

Based on our audit work and according to ICE officials, UCs who do not appear for court are considered at higher risk for trafficking, exploitation, or forced labor.

But it gets even more absurdly bad. Kamala's management of the border crisis is so comically inept that the overwhelmed and undersupervised immigration bureau was forced to use Google Spreadsheets to keep track of vulnerable children:

Due to lack of automated information sharing processes, ICE field offices developed manual techniques to share information about UCs who did not appear in court. At one field office, an OPLA attorney created a local workaround with a spreadsheet to monitor the status of UCs and shared this information via email with local ERO officers.

Live look at Kamala's border security plan in action:

The level of mismanagement and exploitation of vulnerable children reaches almost comical heights in the report:

According to OPLA officials, ICE ERO has no authority over UCs beyond managing their immigration cases. Therefore, even if ICE were to identify UCs in unsafe conditions, the agency has limited authority to respond. ICE personnel at two field offices affirmed this and explained they had identified UCs in unsafe conditions but were unable to intervene. One ICE officer expressed concern with not being able to take action in a case involving a UC whose sponsor claimed the UC was in an inappropriate relationship with her husband.

So Kamala's handling of the border is seeing nearly 300,000 children go missing, border agents using Excel in order to keep track of vulnerable kids, and federal officials openly aware of children in sexual relationships with adults.

And what's Kamala been doing this whole time?

Heckuva job, vice president. Can't imagine what it'll look like if you win the election!
