NORWEGIAN GRANNIES STRIKE AGAIN!

That's Heller Jewelers in San Ramon, California. In case you missed it, the burglars were forced to shoot themselves out of the jewelry store because the door had locked behind them to trap them inside.
At first glance, you might think they got away with it. However, the San Ramon Police drone team was on this one very quickly.
From CBS News:
The first to arrive on scene: the San Ramon Police drone team, led by Lt. Mark Gunning.
'The sergeant overheard on Alameda County scanner that some jewelry thief suspects might be coming to town,' Gunning said. 'Our drone pilot heard that also and immediately took off.'
The drone captured clear images of the suspects running into waiting cars in the valet area of the parking lot. Police say that video could prove key in tracking down everyone involved.

They did track some of them down using air support. Six adults and one juvenile have been arrested in connection with the smash-and-grab. These arrests were made both in Oakland, a 30-minute drive from the store, and Dublin, which is 10 minutes to the south.
It looks like police drones might be the future of tracking down these thieves. Though the thieves are well known for adapting to police tactics, so it's anyone's guess as to what happens next in the smash-and-grab game that seems to be taking place mostly in liberal-run cities.
