Super-Catholic Biden did not speak at Notre Dame's commencement and did not get the honorary degree they usually give presidents. Wanna guess why?
· May 24, 2021 ·

Did you guys know that Joe Biden is Catholic, and that he's probably the most Catholicly Catholic who has ever lived?

Welp, it turns out Altar-Boy Joe is having his credentials revoked by students at Notre Dame University, who decried his invitation to commencement – pointing out that Joe is the most openly pro-abortion president in history.

Yep, it turns out that Catholics have issues with a guy who calls himself Catholic but is actively working to undermine the teachings of both the Catholic Church and the Bible itself. Who could have known??

It's not like Biden had publicly said he was going to speak at commencement. That would involve speaking for more than a few minutes, after all, and POTUS needs his naps.

While the school's invitation was symbolic, it's worth noting that Mike Pence, Barack Obama, George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, and Dwight Eisenhower all spoke at Notre Dame commencements, so the gesture holds a little more weight than those of other schools.

Especially for the most amazingly Catholic POTUS in American history.

When they turned down the invitation, the White House simply said Biden's schedule had a "conflict" that prevented him from speaking.

Yeah, OK.

Oh yeah, and just for kicks and giggles, Biden won't receive the honorary degree the university usually confers on U.S. presidents:

Here's what the petition against Biden had to say. It's superb, so I'm going to provide you with some extended chunks of it for good measure:

"We certainly agree that the university should be free to invite speakers who disagree with Church teachings, but this is beside the point. It has nothing to do with honoring them, which should be governed by the injunction of the nation's bishops that Biden is such a person writ large.

He rejects Church teachings on abortion, marriage, sex and gender and is hostile to religious liberty. He embraces the most pro-abortion and anti-religious liberty public policy program in history. The case against honoring him is immeasurably stronger than it was against honoring President Obama, an action that alienated countless Catholics and brought upon Notre Dame the harsh criticism of 83 cardinals, archbishops and bishops."

The signers of the petition argue correctly that this is not just political "hyperbole":

"In brief, to begin with abortion, Biden's actions already taken and those promised will result in the killing of countless innocent unborn both here and abroad through federal funding of abortions and abortion organizations.

This is not hyperbole. It is demonstrable fact because of Biden's lifting the bar against the flow of federal funds to both domestic and international Planned Parenthood and similar organizations. The calamity will assume truly harrowing proportions if Biden achieves his goal of providing direct federal funding of abortions."

Next, they took aim at his rejection of biblical teaching on marriage and sexuality:

"As to issues of sex, gender, and marriage, Biden's actions already taken and those promised are breathtaking in scope and will undermine the religious liberty of individuals in their private lives, employment, businesses, and social and religious activities and of religious organizations and institutions such as schools, including Notre Dame, hospitals, and adoption agencies."

After providing support from Catholic leaders who have spoken out against super-Catholic Biden, the petition ends with this epic statement:

"Notre Dame has long prided itself on its preeminent position in the educational world of the Church. We suggest that its responsibility as such is to guard Church teachings that are crucially important in today's society by conferring its honors upon those who support them rather than upon those who oppose them, especially the one person above all who has the will and the power to undermine them."

That's some straight fire right there.

Remember this petition the next time anyone anywhere tries to convince you of how "faithful" Biden is.
