Some churches are designating themselves 'temporary strip clubs' in order to have in-person services

Hey, want to feel uncomfortable? Watch this clip.

What's going on here? Well, last month San Diego made the ridiculous decision that strip clubs could be open, but churches could not.

I thought there was an amendment about this somewhere 🤔

So, some pastors got creative and decided to declare their churches "temporary strip clubs" to get around the absurdity.

That's Jurgen Matthesius in the clip. He's the senior pastor of Awaken Church. And he's making me feel very uncomfortable. But his church was not the only one to strike this pose. Pastor Rob McCoy of Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park, CA made the same declaration last week.

It's bonkers that churches can't meet but strip clubs are "being allowed to provide live adult entertainment," according to Superior Court Judge Joel R. Wohlfeil who ruled in favor of strip clubs staying open. But I just pity those poor congregants that now have the image of their pastors faux-stripping burned forever into their minds.
