This happened in Loudon County, Va., today, and it's a big deal:
This all stems from a sexual assault incident that occurred at Stone Bridge High School over the summer. Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney Buta Biberaj confirmed to WUSA9 that a teenage boy has been found guilty in that assault which took place in a bathroom in the school.
But of course it's about so much more than a "sexual assault incident." The incident in question reportedly involved a boy dressed in a skirt who assaulted a girl in the girl's room. School officials, meanwhile, stand accused of covering the assault up.
Notably, months after the assault occurred, Loudoun County passed a rule allowing students to use bathrooms that "correspond" to their "gender identity," which is to say that Loudoun County officials were aware that a skirt-wearing boy had recently assaulted a girl in a girl's bathroom...but the district went ahead with the rule change anyway.
Walkout!
